Voices of Hope

Voices of Hope is a volunteer organization created to inspire HOPE and actively support people affected by substance use/misuse.  They advocate to increase local resources and raise awareness about substance use/misuse, and the importance of COMPASSION in the Deerfield Valley.  They work to fight the stigma around substance use disorder and to bring resources, information, harm reduction and recovery support to the Deerfield Valley. Lions Clubs empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. The Lions are the global leader in community and humanitarian service with 1.25 million members in over 200 countries worldwide. The local Lions club serves Deerfield Valley Vermont.

Deerfield Valley Sportsmen's Club, Inc.

The club provides an opportunity for firearms enthusiasts and their families to enjoy a wide variety of shooting and outdoor activities. We promote education, skill development, fellowship and responsible sportsmen for ourselves and future generations.

Whitingham Historical Society

The Whitingham Historical Society meets in the Municipal Center three times per year in April, July and October to run historical programs for the public. The Museum, located in the center of Whitingham Village at Green Mountain Hall, is open Sundays from 2 to 4pm from July through September (or by appointment). Housing Rehabilitation Committee

The Housing Rehabilitation Committee is a consortium of the towns of Halifax, Marlboro and Whitingham. It's mission is to distribute funds in low-interest loans to income-eligible residents for a variety of rehabilitation projects, ranging from septic and well installations, heating and roofing to plumbing and electrical repairs and/or upgrades. The Committee invites the residents of their three towns who may have a necessary rehabilitation project to apply to see if they meet eligibility guidelines. Applications are available from the Town Clerk in each town. Whitingham residents needing more information should contact Mike Mandracchia at (802) 368-2658 or Julie Muller at (802) 368-9394.
