Wellness Wednesdays began in January. They will be offered on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, starting January 14th from 12-5pm.
Sara Martin, CMT, will offer chair massage at the Whitingham Municipal Center, 2948 VT Route 100, Jacksonville free of charge to residents of the Town of Whitingham on a first come, first serve basis. Residents outside of Whitingham are welcome too, but will be asked to offer a donation.
Curious? Stop in to see us on Wednesday, April 8th, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, and December 9. Feel free to ask questions, or try it out. Not everyone is comfortable with massage and a chair massage can be a good introduction to massage therapy for a newbie.
You will be required to sign a consent form prior to any treatment, so if you are unsure if you should get a massage because of a medical condition, it is suggested you clear massage, myofascial release, and stretching, with your doctors and medical professionals.

"Home Sweet Home" Old Home Week Community Art and Quilt Show

For local artists and local art!
- Do you have a beloved, handmade, heirloom quilt?

- Please share that piece of work for a community show to celebrate our creative history!

Work needs to be delivered to the Twin Valley Middle High School by July 23rd (8a - 4p)

Primary Election
Tuesday, August 11, 2026 - 10:00am to 7:00pm
The Vermont Primary Election will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Polls for Whitingham registered voters will be located at the Whitingham Municipal Center, 2948 VT Route 100, Jacksonville, VT from 10am to 7pm.
The Town Office will have ballots available by request by the end of June.
Absentee Ballot Requests
You may contact the Town Clerk at any time to request absentee ballots for any or all elections in the remainder of the calendar year. Please email townclerk@whitinghamvt.org or call (802) 368-7887.

Running for Office
State Representative and Senators:
The window for submitting paperwork to run for state legislator has closed. You may still run as a write-in candidate. Please contact the Town Clerk for more information.
Justices of the Peace
Major and minor party Justice of the Peace candidates are nominated by town caucus or town party committee in order to be placed on the ballot in the General Election (November 3, 2026). The caucus must be held on or before Monday, July 20, 2026. If a town fails to hold a caucus, nominations may be made thereafter by party committee. In either case, the committee chair or secretary must file the statement of nomination with the town clerk no later than 5 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2026 (three days after the Primary). No financial disclosure or consent of candidate form is required for Justice of the Peace nominations that are completed through caucusing.
Independent Justice of the Peace candidates must file a Consent of Candidate form with the town clerk in order to be placed on the ballot in the General Election (November 3, 2026). These consent forms must be filed no later than 5 p.m. Monday, July 20.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
Saturday, September 12, 2026 - 9:00am to 1:00pm
Free for Whitingham residents, Hazardous Waste Collection Event at the Transfer Station 4185 VT Route 100, Whitingham, VT from 9am to 1pm.
Reminder: paint is collected during regular business hours, no need to hold onto it for an HHW event. If there is only a small amount left in the can, take the top off, dry out the paint and throw the can in the garbage.
Whitingham small businesses will be charged for hazardous waste, payment is due at the event. Businesses must pre-register for the event at least 1 week in advance by emailiing a list of business hazardous waste and quantities to gig@whitinghamvt.org.
