Transfer Station

The Transfer Station receives general supervision from Stanley Janovsky (368-2466). Its day to day operations are addressed by the Transfer Station Attendant (368-7876). Routine business questions may be answered in the Selectboard Office by Gig Zboray (368-7500). In order to use the Transfer Station you MUST be a Whitingham resident/property owner AND have a permit which can be purchased in the Town Clerk's office.

At the Whitingham Transfer Station, we encourage residents and visitors to reduce, reuse, and recycle!

Where:
4185 Vermont Route 100 (behind the Highway Garage)

When:

Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Transfer Station is CLOSED on the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, evening hours on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

We have found that most of the items dropped off during Household Hazardous Waste collection events is paint. PaintCare Products (see flyer attached below) are accepted at the Transfer Station during regular business hours from May through October, there is no need to wait for a special collection event.

Recycling is now Single-Stream

Due to circumstances beyond Town control, we will be switching from dual stream recycling to single stream. Paper and containers will go into the compactor together now.
