Help Wanted - Sewer Plant Assistant

Town of Whitingham – Sewer Plant Assistant Operator    

Responsible for performing a variety of operation and maintenance tasks at the Wastewater Treatment Facilities in Whitingham and Jacksonville and associated pumping station.  This is a responsible position encompassing laboratory work, process control, operations and maintenance occasionally involving outdoor work in varying and at times inclement weather and often requiring moderate physical effort.  Work hours include weekends, holidays and emergency call-ins.  Other duties are listed in the job description which can be found below with the job application. Appropriate experience sought, but willing to train. Must get a provisional license and take classes to earn a Class 1 or 2 license within 2 years.  30 hours per week – benefits.
