Help Wanted - Part Time Transfer Station Attendant

The Town of Whitingham, an equal opportunity employer, seeks an interested individual to serve as a temporary Transfer Station Attendant (may become permanent).  Current Transfer Station hours are Tuesday 9-2 and 5-7, Thursday and Saturday 9-2. 

The Transfer Station Attendant performs manual work and is responsible for working with and assisting residents/property owners as they dispose of their waste. The Transfer Station operates under the direction of the Road Commissioner.  The Attendant must have the ability to interact with the public with courtesy and professionalism and have the physical strength and agility sufficient to perform strenuous laboring tasks under various conditions.

Starting pay is $15-20 per hour commensurate with experience.  Due to the part-time basis of this job the benefits of this position are: prorated sick-pay, prorated vacation and holiday pay.
