Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

The Town of Whitingham will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2018 from 9am to 1pm at the Whitingham Transfer Station, 4185 VT Route 100, Whitingham, VT.  This event is open to Whitingham property owners and residents.  There is no charge.  Whitingham small businesses may participate by emailing business name, address, phone number and a list of hazardous waste and quantities to: Selectboard@whitinghamvt.org.  The amount due will be calculated and you will be notified.  Payment is due at the event.

At this event we will be collecting: Paints & Stains; Flammable liquids and solvents; Resins, Adhesives & Non Processable Flammables; Aerosols; Chemicals: Oxidizers, Acids, Bases; Pesticides (liquid & solid) 

Ten gallons per household.  The event will be closed when contracted limit has been met.

The Whitingham Transfer Station is now certified to collect Mercury bulbs, CFLs, Mercury switches, thermostats and lamps as well as batteries, Lithium, Alkaline (AA, AA, C, D, button), Nicad, Small Lead Acid Batteries during regular business hours.
