The Whitingham Free Public Library

The Whitingham Free Public Library, first established in 1899, is located in the quaint Village of Jacksonville, Vermont along the Route 100 Scenic Byway.  We serve both the towns of Whitingham and Halifax.  The Library has a Board of Trustees elected at town meeting, a Director, Assistant Librarian, and a Youth Services Librarian.
The library is the "hub" of our community and a "gathering" space for many residents.  We offer multiple ongoing programs for all ages including story hour, playgroups, arts & crafts and ping pong groups for seniors, book group and movie nights.  We host several special events throughout the year and work in partnership with several community organizations such as the Twin Valley Schools, Halifax Community Club, Lion's Club, Early Childhood Education Service's (EES) and Wings Community Programs. We offer 24 hour Wi-Fi.
Library Trustees meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6pm.
